All set for summer

2018 - March, News and events

PA Housing contractor idverde has made a massive investment into new kit to help keep grounds around our properties looking great this summer.  The company has bought £16,800 worth of new machinery for the 2018 grass cutting season, including lawn mowers, strimmers, and blowers.

Award winning idverde is one of Europe's largest providers of grounds maintenance services.  It looks after our properties in the boroughs of Elmbridge, Richmond , Epsom And Ewell, Hounslow, Wandsworth, and Kingston.

We also have a new face overseeing the work. Sean Lawrence has joined the contract as Supervisor. He has plenty of experience from similar contracts which will be very beneficial to us and our customers.  He is a LANTRA trained instructor on tractors, cylinder cutting turf machinery and smaller turf cutting equipment. He has also completed a shrub management course which teaches details of pruning for plant health and vigour.

Estates Services Manager Phil Sinfield said: "I'd like to welcome Sean to the PA contract. If you see him on your visits to our properties, please take the opportunity to have a chat about any issues you have."

idverde works with both private and public sector clients. Among its high profile customers are Regent's Park, Manchester City FC and the V&A Museum. In an average year across the UK they cut 60 million m² of grass, prune 1.2 million m² of shrub beds, and maintain 1,500 football pitches, among other services. Last year they won gold at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show with their collaborative project Mind Trap - a garden designed to highlight the challenges faced by people with mental health problems.
