Orchard project at Langdon Park

Over the last 12 months we’ve been involved in some exciting conversations with The Orchard Project about at Langdon Park (Teddington).  We discovered that there are different species of trees that are decades old (we think these might be apple, pear, cherry and plum) as well as many habitats and species that could be identified.  

We’ve been working hard to get different stakeholders involved with the project, including our residents at Langdon Park.  The project started last week with Year 2 classes from Hampton Wick Infant School visiting the orchard to do activities around seeds, fruit, plant life cycles and pollination. 

We're looking forward to having many more activities there throughout the year.  This will include our residents visiting the orchard and getting involved with an apple day community event - picking and juicing! - and pruning workshop.
